  1. I've always loved Virtual VCR, and want to use it on my new system.

I have a satellite receiver, and its s-video and audio outputs enter my sytem via my ATI TV Wonder "purple input thingy" that sits on my desk.

I get sound and video when using the ATI software, as well as the Snapstream Beyond TV, but I'm having probs with Virtual VCR.

I get video, but no audio.

Any ideas? Should I split the audio leaving the satellite receiver to enter through both the ATI card and the line-in audio jack? Is there someway to select the ATI audio in Virtual VCR?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I use virtual vcr all the time to capture vhs tapes (but not with my sat decoder)

I'd suggest you to use win dvr3 for that ...that's just my opinion

Anyway for your audio problem there is a good chance that you didn't choose the right input ("line in" for instance)
or you probably have it set on right input but the level is very low hence the "no audio result"

1st check the windows audio volume/input panel:
start>run: and copyaste & enter this:
    %SystemRoot%\system32\sndrec32.exe

2nd: check the audio settings in virtual vcr:
    settings>audio
