  1. Hi,
I got 44 Avi Files (4,5Gig), that I want to Convert into SVCD.
I tried tmpgenc and Boilsoft. But it takes way to long. Need tips, please.

    Muffin2k4,
Remember "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch."
In order to convert your AVIs into SVCD you will have to use an encoder. TmpGenC is but one of many available. Each with their own pros and cons. If you find TmpGenC to slow (as did I) then a little bit of searching for encoders will give you others. But they all require a certain amount of time to work. It s the price you gotta pay (no free lunch). That is presuming you want to put them onto DVDs and not play them from your PC. If the latter is the case then leave them as AVIs.

From the data provided 44 AVIs = 4.5 Gb, it would seem that these are fairly small sized files and even on a slow machine like mine (800 MHz), I'm thinking it could be done overnight via batch process and TmpGenC. To me that does not seem like to big an issue. But .....

Let the encoder do its work. This isn't a hobby for the impatient. If you want a faster encoder try Mainconcept MPEG Encoder.
