I recorded from a vcr using my ATI card. After recoding I now have files with .vcr file extension. I would like to change the file extension to mpg, avi or mp2 file extension. The .vcr file extension is not compatible with Pinnacle Studio 8. I will be using Pinnacle Studio 8 to make to make home video films, and then burn them to DVD. Is this possible?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Why did you record in VCR format to begin with ?
The AIW allows you to capture to MPEG1/2 as well.
If you launch the Media Library, you can convert from VCR to MPEG2, but it's better to capture to the DVD-compatible presets directly from ATI MMC.
