I have been doing live concert videos for some time now and there is a small issue I am seeing in Vegas. To start with I record with two cameras, one is stationary and the other is romming on the stage. I record the audio on CD. All three elements are then placed on the time line of Vegas and editing begins. Now here is what I've noticed. The Audio from the CD is recorded at a high level just below clipping and I can see the wave file is strong in Sound Forge. When I drag the audio file to the time line of Vegas the wave looks and sounds less then acceptable for an audio track. If I take the original and boost it lets say 6db it now clips in Vegas even though the volume is low. Any suggestions?
Thanks GT
