  1. I have uploaded a screen grab of the wireless network in my system tray. Can anyone tell me how to remove the 2.4GHz from this list and only connect it when I want to and always have the 5.0GHz connect to the internet?

    Thanks in advance........

  4. Good wireless access point should migrate authenticated clients to 5GHz band automatically.* 2.4GHz offer higher distance so it may be unwise to disable 2.4GHz band. If you are in area where DFS can be activated then you should keep 2.4GHz as backup.

*Btw - be sure that band steering is active on your access point and on client side https://www.networkcomputing.com/wireless-infrastructure/4-wifi-band-steering-myths - some better access points allow to force clients to be moved on 5GHz band.
