When doing the first pass using the Thalen Deshaker in Virtualdub, among others you're given a choice of square pixels, NTSC .912, anamorphic 1.215

If I've got SD 4:3, which should I choose and when would you choose the others?

    Thanks

Deshaker needs to know the PAR so it can do rotation properly.
If your source is NTSC DV, choose .912 (which is the PAR for SD 4:3 DAR).

You would choose anamorphic for NTSC 16:9 DV, or square pixels if you had a square pixel source.
A 4:3 square pixel source (which would have to be something other than DV) also has a frame size with a 4:3 ratio (unlike DV which has 720x480, ie 3:2).

Okay, what if the source is HuffYuv converted from mpeg-2?

Assuming no resizing has been done in the conversion (frame size is 720x480), then 0.912 would still apply.
