  1. Hello, video pros! I'm in a real pinch here and don't have much time to search for a solution. We have a really big client who we're doing localization for. They want subtitling done for their videos using a floating transparent gray frame behind/around white text, and we've found DH_Subtitle to be a good solution for that. However, our dilemma is that we have hours of video footage that needs to be subtitled in 8 languages. Rather than add every subtitle caption manually for every language, we're thinking we should somehow be able to create a srt file for each locale that can be converted to an xml file, and then imported into FCP and added to the video.

Basically, the goal is to be able to create one simple text file for each language containing time code references (srt file? something better?) and caption text, and somehow easily import these files into FCP as sequences/video tracks that make use of the DH_Subtitle plugin. Does anyone know of a way to do this? If not, is there a way to get the srt files into FCP as a subtitle track and somehow create the DH_Subtitle version of the captions from that?

Any help is greatly appreciated. We're on a really tight timeline for this project and MUST deliver quality and quantity ASAP! Thank you!

Might be too late but the easiest way would be to load the original SRT into subtitle workshop and then use the built-in translator and save the new language in it's own SRT, then mux them all into the video.
