  1. Hi!
I've checked around the forum but haven't manaeged to find any posts that explain this.

When i looked specs for ps2 it says that it supports divX. How does that work? Does this mean that you can watch DivX movies on it somehow? I've tried but I haven't maneaged to do it, and I have my doubts that it will work. But I it would be nice to know what they mean with playstation 2 supporting divX.

Does someone have any answers to this matter?

    Thanks

yes you can -- on some machines, without even a mod chip

  5. the reason why they say ps2 can play divx, ogg, mp3, etc is b/c it is being aided with the Qcast Tuner. with this device u can watch streaming media and audio content through ur braodband connection. but u also have to have a ps2 network adapter. u can read about it here: http://www.broadq.com/qcast2.htm

u can also watch divx movies and hear mp3 audio files with the aid of the ps2 reality player. but for this u need a modchip like the dms3(which is what i have) with this u can load up software into ur p2 8mb memory card and now even to a +40gb hdd on ur ps2 to store and load software from there.
