  1. I have a CD that I want to do some noise reduction. I need to do the whole CD with the same "noise reduction" in Audacity.
I can only figure out how to do it in one track at a time. I don't want to get into the whole situation, but that won't work for this and several projects. Is there anyway to get effects for one, whole CD in stead of one track?
    Thank you for any help,
    Chris.

I haven't tried it, but Audacity does apparently have the ability: http://www.audacityteam.org/manual/index.php?title=Batch_Processing

If you found 'Batch' and got it to work for you, let us know how it worked out. I've never used that with Audacity.

BTW, Audacity does have more filters available. Some VST filters are very nice. Go to the Audacity home page, plugins, for more info: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/plugins

  6. I looked again everywhere and Batch is not here. I searched in help and it doesn't list it.

Sorry, my fault. That's apparently only in the beta version of Audacity, 1.3.4 I assumed it had been around a while. I just checked for 'Batch' and that's the link I got. But I've used the beta version before with no problems. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_windows

Both versions can co-exist, so you can try it if you like or delete it and still have the regular version available.

  9. I tried the "new" Audacity. I have "batch" but I can't get it to work right, or I don't know how. When I add a track (1), then add another (2), they play at the same time. What I do to one, it doesn't do anything to the other file. How am I supoised to do this? Seems I want them to be after one another, not on the bottom that plays at the same time.

    Thank you for any help,
    Chris.
