Have proven green screen capability and editing experience but currently no camera and on tight budget. Can a Sony HVR-A1E in 1080i recording onto Mini DV HDV tape be successfully used to capture green screen for keying. Like the HVR-A1E as it has XLR audio plugs which fits existing audio equipment but have never used Mini DV tape as a media recording green screen. Will it allow a good key?

Interlaced, Stretched AR, 4:2:0, Highly compressed, mpeg2 DCT blocking, Interframe (at least shorter GOP), mediocre bitrate, maybe dropouts?.
All things that take away from a good key.
