First, a kinda interesting item... The JVC GY-DV300U is apparently
the first digital camcorder to offer real-time streaming DiVX output. Ain't cheap. Price without the extra widget needed comes to $3495. To output
streaming DiVX you need the optional KA-300U adaptor.
They should call this the Ultimate Instant Streaming Porn Cam. Guess a whole lotta folks with XXX streaming sites will grab these pups.
Of course, the real significance here is that eventually this streaming DiVX output feature will doubtless migrate downward to lower-priced digital camcorders.

The other item of interest is that CenDyne sells a DVD-R burner that turns out to be a rebadged Pioneer DVR-A04. Yeah, yeah, we all know the DVR-A05 has now appeared on the market... However, the CenDyne is cheap. Really cheap. $200 after rebate.
And that's not for the OEM version -- you get the full software suite for $200. So, if you can live without a Pioneeer DVR-A05, this CenDyne (which actually the exact same physical drive as the DVR-A04) might be a good deal. Hey....how can you beat $199 for a full-featured DVR-A04 with all the software in the standard retail package?
