  1. Hello,
I got a single VOB file (no DVD) and Subtitles for the content in .srt Format.
Is there a way to add/mux them into the VOB file as you can with other Formats (MKV, ...)?
    Output should still be VOB.

    Thanks for any help!

p.s.: I do not want to hardcode them into the Video, I just wan them to be selectable when playing the Video.

  2. You could remux the vob to mkv, adding the srt sub.
Can be done with clever FFmpeg-GUI.
If you want to keep vob as output, you first need to convert the srt subtitle to vobsub (idx/sub) with Subtitle Edit and then add the idx stream with clever FFmpeg-GUI in multiplex panel.

Can I then rebring it to VOB?

  4. SRT is no good for VOB (DVD). It has to be converted to a compatible format - SST or SUP for Muxman (free Authoring program). So, demux your VOB into audio and Video. DGIndex is one way. Then follow Baldrick's Method 2 in this guide:

You'll wind up with a DVD in which you can choose to play your subtitle. There's no way to have selectable subtitles muxed into a VOB file. You'll need the DVD.

It says it can't mux pcm audio into vob container...

The (m2)ts container supports image-based subtitles.
TSMuxer can convert .SRT files to Blu-Ray subpics.
