I thought I read that I can use the above mentioned to directly burn a DVD instead of ripping it first. True or what?

If I want to rip a DVD, do I need anything else but Smart Ripper, DVD2AVI, and TMPGEnc to do it? I've kept a rental DVD and am accrueing charges just so I can burn it. By the time I figure it out, I will have basically PAID for the money in late charges. Quite stupid on my part, but hey!

  5. DVD2MPG Squeezer is basicly one of the first DVD to VCD encoding programs that came out, you can use it to encode directly from the DVD itself, as using the Panasonic Encoder it has great quality, although rather slow
