When encoding videos, how do I know if my dimensions needs to be divisible by 16?

My final video needs to be 16:9 640 x 360 1:1 PAR for YouTube. Is there a way to find out what dimensions gives me both width and height that are divisible by 16 where the aspect ratio is 16:9 other than tedious calculations?

  2. For 1:1 PAR, the following dimensions are 16:9 and multiples of 16:

    256 x 144
    512 x 288
    768 x 432
    1024 x 576

(keep adding 256 x 144 to get higher resolutions)

You can get close (e.g., 16.2 : 9) with other dimensions such as:

    720 x 400

  3. 16:9 x 16 x 1 = 256:144
    16:9 x 16 x 2 = 512:288
    16:9 x 16 x 3 = 768:432
    16:9 x 16 x 4 = 1024:576
    16:9 x 16 x 5 = 1280:720
