    Hi folks,

I'm trying to resize an MKV and I can't seem to get it to open in ffmpegX. When I click "encode" I get the following error: http://pastebin.com/hwEXExny

Here are the details of the file I'm trying to encode:
    http://pastebin.com/S9xTpeYJ

I'm able to open the file in MPEG Streamclip, watch it in VLC, etc.

    Thanks!

ffmpegX is currently unable to process DTS audio.

You could try setting Audio to Passthrough, but I'm not confident that would work.

Alright, well there you have it! Thanks.

Ultimately, I'm going to "downgrade" the audio to stereo. Any suggestions for:

    1) what audio codec I should use that is ffmpegX friendly
    2) what application I should use to convert from DTS to that ffmpegX-friendly codec
    and
    3) are there any tricks/problems converting to stereo?

I'm using a Mac but can use Win.

    Thanks again

I ended up using MPEG Streamclip; it defaults to a stereo output...Thanks again!
