EDIT: My bad! Didn't see there's a special Audio forum for audio capturing. I'd appreciate if some of the mods can move this to the right forum. I apologize for the trouble!
Hi everyone.
I'm capturing DV type-2 from Canopus ADVC110.
The VCR is plugged correctly to the canopus device - 2 plugs(red, white) for 2 channel audio.
After capturing. I extracted the WAV using Vdubmod's option to save wav. When opening the wav file in GoldWave, it appears that eventhough the file is saved as 2 channels, one of the channels has no data in it(flat line).
Is my source Mono? or is there a problem with my capture?
With Regards,
Guy.

Well, first I would check my cables. And make sure your source has both channels to start with. If you get stereo to the 110, it should be outputing stereo. You could switch the right and left cables and see if the problem shows up on the other channel when you save out the WAV. That would tell you you if the cable or the source is the problem.
And this thread is probably closer to the DV forum than audio capturing. Moving you.
