I have several DVD recordings of video tapes and the audio drifts more and more out of sync the longer the video. The recordings were made several years ago on a DVD recorder. The source 8mm video tapes did not have this issue. The problem is that the audio starts off fine but after 1-2 hours the audio is several minutes off. I know if the audio was off a consistent amount I could adjust it but is there a way I can adjust it as it drifts off?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Some containers let you specify a stretch setting for the video and or audio. Not all players will obey those options though. Try remuxing with MkvToolnix GUI and see if you can live with the results.
Otherwise you're probably best off stretching the audio with and audio editor like Audacity. Then muxing the new audio with the original video.
