vegas overlay track

Can anyone tell me how to create an overlay track in vegas 12 pro. I do not see option . I see insert video and audio tracks but not overlay? Thanks

A video track with a lower number (ie. "on top") is functionally an overlay track.

He has an overlay track. His audio from overlay goes down to lower track. When i put one track over another i get video/audio/video/audio.

he gets video/video/two audio over each other.. Thanks

Is that what is bothering you? The track order? Just left click the track number (hold down left click) and drag it to wherever you want

For example if you had video/audio/video/audio , click track 2 , drag it down to 3rd place and it will be video/video/audio/audio
