Potplayer, how should I update it?

In order not to lose my settings... Should I update it automatically from inside the Potplayer or should I download the update-file from the site at my desktop and then install it from the file?

I haven't used it in ages, but from what I recall, I simply downloaded and ran the new installer. Although the safest bet would likely be to use the update within the player.

Save the potplayer reg file.....simpel

Yea, being there done that, I had the reg file backed it up and when I put it in the new install nothing happened. I even import it to my registry by double clicking it but still nothing happened.
