  1. I've been trying for the past two days to download a video from Ok.ru (Odnoklassniki website), web browser add-ons haven't worked for me, the download randomly stops and there is no way to continue, it has to be restarted (which is a pain because the video is 1GB, and add-ons downloads are slow), but downloads made directly with the browser or torrents are working fine.

Said that, I already tried a lot of websites to download Ok.ru videos but they don't work anymore, I even installed KeepVid Pro but it also has a problem, it just downloads the first few minutes (I even tried using a high seas buccaneer version *wink* *wink*), it's worth pointing out that this problem doesn't occur when downloading videos from other websites such as YouTube, so I don't know if Ok.ru is actually the problem.

What does work is changing the video to mobile version on that website > right click > download, the problem is that the mobile version goes as far as 720p or so, and I want the Full HD video.

Please video gurus, help me out, how can I download a Full HD video from Ok.ru?

Dude you're awesome! so far so good, I hope it doesn't stop the download like the add-ons I've tried, one question, if my PC gets disconnected from the internet for a brief moment, will the download stop and continue once the internet is back? or will it have to restart from zero?, I'd love to know what to do in those situations.

If it stops I'm gonna use the link you provided, I decided to use your code first to see if I ran into any trouble, thank you a lot for the help

I think with youtube-dl, if you are downloading fragments, it will resume if you restart the application. However, if you are using youtube-dl to download one file (no fragments, as in this download), I'm not sure if it will resume. Why don't you try it (unplug the internet for a few minutes) and report the result?

Sure thing! I'm going to try that once I finish some downloads because my router tends to give me connection problems whenever I restart it, and since right now is working fine I think it'll be a good idea to download everything I need before doing that experiment

In case that the downloads don't resume on reconnection, is there any other program that does?

I think IDM will resume. I believe you can try IDM for free for 30 days. Don't know if it will download the file that you want, however.

  7. youtube-dl will usually resume partial downloads. It was able to do so with the link in your first post.
