    Can I Use Power Director to capture video from the VC500. I have tried but get only audio, no video. I am using PD 16

    PowerDirector sucks for capture.
    Can't answer the rest, we don't know what source you're capturing or what you want for final format.
    Or you can capture to lossy codecs with the VC500's generic software.
    Otherwise there are several hundred forum threads that deal with this same subject.
