Hello! I'd appreciate if anyone could provide suggestions how to solve this...

When I do capturing on the internal storage (multiple recordings from a VHS tape) I can afterwards play video files from the media library on the device, but once I take the HDD out to transfer files to the PC the files are simply no longer there. Moreover, once the HDD is connected back to the C285, the files are gone there as well.
This just started happening. A few days ago I did some captures and files are still there.

The firmware is up to date. I have not tested capturing to USB as I don't have a high-speed one. I'm unplugging the HDD only after the C285 is properly shut down.

    Any ideas?

Same problem was reported Last year

    1. Check to make sure the HDD is (not) GPT partitioned, only MBR and NTFS file system.

    2. Check the firmware is up to date, they started supporting GPT after firmware version 1.2.3 but 1.2.5 might be a better choice

    3. Check the coin-battery inside the case hasn't expired.

    4. Check the wall adapter hasn't gone bad

Part Description 12V 1.5A, Barrel 5.5/2.5mm, Center Positive, US 2-Pin Plug
    Part Number WB-18D12R $14.99 usd

    5. The poster from 2021 said he found an Index file over 65 GB on the HDD that seemed to delay finishing writing the files after capture and pulling the power supply before then meant they weren't converted from temporary capture files into real files and disappeared. He changed the file system to show hidden files so he could see the indexing file and deleted it and then things started working. He admitted he had not reformatted the drive in 4 years.. so that's why it probably grew so large.
