I have been trying to copy movies from my PC to iPhone. Unfortunately, I can't simply sync movie through itunes.
I have to convert it to MOV format with AVC (HEVC doesn't work on Apple TV?) and copy the same audio track.

However when I used AVIDEMUX and TENCODER to do this, the finished file loses the JOC/ATMOS content and turn into a normal 5.1 track.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Secondly, also suggest some converter which can use my GPU to render H264 as I have to remux some HEVC file to H264 in order to play on iphone.

IF I am doing anything wrong, feel free to correct and share your input.

Copying movies to iphone is already a headache. I am doing this just to enjoy Spatial Audio on my Airpods.

  2. Install VLC on your phone.
    Install iTunes on your PC.
Connect your phone to the PC and open iTunes.
Click on your phone in iTunes.
    Select File Sharing.
    Select VLC.
Transfer the MKV files to your phone via drag and drop.

Can't see any option of "File Sharing" in itunes but I was able to copy via wireless transfer. However VLC is only playing file as stereo and I can't find any option to make audio passthrough. Any idea ?

  4. You can try to remux only with clever Ffmpeg-GUI.
Load your mkv, click main, click multiplex, select mov as container, click multiplex.
    Done.
