    Goodday to all.

I''ve bought an Asus SBC-06DXU, as well as a DVDFab 8,1,1,2 and a DVDFab 8 passkey and install all these devices on my computer.

While I have no problem ripping the content of a Blue Ray Disk, the prescence of a blank Blues ray disk is not recognize. Even though the blank has been installed the driver door unlock and therefore the burning process won't begin

The Blank disk I have bought are Blue Ray DL 50 Go Phillips in a 10 for 50$ they are not cheap.

    What should I do?

    Thank you.

Does your burner recognize BD-R single layer? If it does, try ImgBurn and see if it recognizes the Philips BD-R DL. Note that Imgburn includes adware and toolbars which you can avoid installing if you read the installer's windows carefully.

Philips BD-R DL may be expensive, but I don't see Philips media recommended by other members here. If ImgBurn doesn't recognize the BD-R DL media or it doesn't burn well, try Verbatim BD-R DL media, which burns well for most people. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817130157

  3. It wouldn't be unheard of for a burner to be faulty from new. You could try installing the latest firmware, assuming there's a newer version. I bought a Pioneer burner once that burned Verbatim discs really badly, which disappointed me somewhat given I only use Verbatim, but a firmware update fixed it. You never know....

Hopefully this link will work, and it's for the right burner.

There are no drivers available at that link. I already checked ASUS's main and US website for driver updates before posting.

According to the spec, it can't burn BD. It only reads burnable BD media. Mystery solved.

I made a mistake and did not downlowd Asus's Software driver properly

I've tried to accessed the right page to download the driver on Asus Website but for some reason I can not access the "OS" page. So I'm stuck.

    Any suggestion?

Thanks for the feedback so far.

The driver download doesn't work for anyone.

Yes, I have a suggestion. Get a BD burner. You have a combo drive. It will never be able to burn BD media no matter what you do. It can burn DVDs but can only read BD media that has already been burned.

If you would like a recommendation, let us know whether you need an external burner or if an internal burner is an option for you. If you can use an internal full-sized 5 1/4 inch drive, they are more robust than slim drives or external drives.

Are you in denial or something? It's already been established that your drive can't burn BD media.

Once I realised that I not the proper hardware, I pack it up and went back to the store to get I refund. Once there I ordered a PIONEER BDR-XD05S instead, at the same price, but I will not receive it before a week.

    Thanks for everyones replies.
