I am trying to get some m2ts blu-ray 1080p video files to play on my friend's PS3.

    1. Is it possible to just copy an m2ts file to USB stick or DVD and have the PS3 recognize it and play it as 1080p?...or do I have to burn it on DVD?

    2. Do the files need to be a certain size to play correctly or it it doesn't matter?

    Thanks.

I apologize if this has been asked before.

You can put m2ts files onto a DVD-RW and the PS3 will play them.

If you want to play them off a USB stick, I would recommend using multiAVCHD to create an AVCHD for USB structure and putting that on the USB stick.
