  1. Hi I wondered if there is a program that will convert DTS to AC3 or E-AC3?
I used to use Popcorn on a bootcamp partition however since having to delete the partition I can no longer get this to work. A mac compatible program would be preferable or if not something I can control easily using Parallels virtual machine.

For Mac I wouldn't know, but eac3to (which has a GUI also) can convert dts to AC3.
I also read somewhere that eac3to using ffmpeg could encode to EAC3 up to 6 channels, but I wouldn't know how to do that.

  3. DTS to AC3 can be done by clever FFmpeg-GUI.

  5. Maybe it will work with the software Audio Encoders. More information you can find here https://www.videohelp.com/software/eac3to.

  6. Can't you just run ffmpeg.exe and convert it through command line? I know I've used ffmpeg for audio conversion in Linux Mint before (and from what I understand about Mac, is that it is mostly Linux under the hood). https://superuser.com/questions/624561/install-ffmpeg-on-os-x
