  1. This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYxkcS4_z1A
I have the text transcription, I can create SRT (or other formats), synchronize it properly - using Subtitle Edit.

Right now I'm using Vegas Pro 14 > ProType Titler > Layout > Selection type > Word ..... pretty much all done by hand.
And I get something like this: https://youtu.be/AOT_oge1mEU

But client wants new style, like above video.
Doesn't have to be 100% exact, just something like that, highlight each word.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can use another huge video editor (like Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci....)
So I need recommendations for Vegas Pro plugins / scripts, other specific / custom software for subtitles creation..... stuff like that.
    Thank you.

It's just burned in pgs graphics so you will need graphics based subtitle editor.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  3. What is "pgs graphics"?
Is there a way to create them automatically?
And to respect timings / durations from actual subtitle file?
Some examples of "graphics based subtitle editor" ?

You can use "Advanced Sub Station Alpha" to create something similar, but doing this manually will take a lot of time for a longer video.

ASSA example with highlight of words.
    Code:
    [Script Info]
; This is an Advanced Sub Station Alpha v4+ script.
    Title:
    ScriptType: v4.00+
    PlayDepth: 0
    ScaledBorderAndShadow: Yes

    [V4+ Styles]
Format: Name, Fontname, Fontsize, PrimaryColour, SecondaryColour, OutlineColour, BackColour, Bold, Italic, Underline, StrikeOut, ScaleX, ScaleY, Spacing, Angle, BorderStyle, Outline, Shadow, Alignment, MarginL, MarginR, MarginV, Encoding

  5. It looks pretty cool.
And I think I can automate many operations:
    - manually create / synchronize SRT
    - save as ASS
    - make AutoIt program to create "glow" animation for each word (maybe there are other effects too, I'll check it)
    - make ffmpeg script to create transparent video (MOV) or solid color background (then use chromakey)
    - import "subtitle" video in Vegas Pro, overlay to original video

    Yes, some automation sounds good

Note, that Subtitle Edit can burn-in ASSA files (Video - Generate video with burned-in subtitle... - it just uses FFmpeg)
