Below is a picture of the inside of a projection TV. I put a green circle around what appears to be a mechanical focusing adjustment lever. What I don't understand is this: I can easily move the lever, and see that the large lens moves in and out as I move the lever. But, in my mind, for such a critical adjustment as focusing, I would think the focusing adjustment would be locked down with a locknut and wax, to prevent vibration from altering the adjustment. Can someone explain about this?

That looks alot like one I've got in my garage, but mine has wingnuts to lock it in place. Of course, I need to re-adjust periodically anyway, or anytime that it is moved...
That's one thing I surely don't miss with the newer models!
