I need a program not too big, to convert music videos into MPG, it's to play on an old car device. Any free programs?

If you are referring to Mpeg1, the original TMPGEnc encoder can do that, for free (if you try to do mpeg2, you would need to pay for it).
The question then becomes Can that app accept your input filetypes?

Of course you could also do this for free and easily in ffmpeg, with or without using a GUI.

I did this with ffmpeg from a command line .
    Then your software.

    Both worked.

It would be a nice addition to have a log file.
    As an option.

The OP didn't say if their
    old car device
    would play .MP2 .

I didn't find any converter that would do MP1 audio .
It's likely that nothing would play that.
