I calculatet the Bitrate with the VCDhelp Bitrate Calc to get an DiVX Movie on exactly 2 74Min CD`s as a SVCD. But at the End the whole Movie was about 200MB bigger as it should have been.
What have i done wrong?
TIA

I'm a newbie, but did you use CBR or 2 pass VBR when you encoded? For CBR just enter the number from the calculator, for 2-pass VBR enter the number as the ave and set the max as desired.
I normally use 2 pass VBR (min=0, max=2000, ave=calculator) and the files are normally the correct size (although I add 10secs of padding ^_^). -
I used CBR. What is "ave"? Average?
Another Problem is that if i use higher Bitrates the Picture is stocking every 2 Seconds (But i am in the SVCD Norm). Probably it`s because of the DiVX. If i use Sefy`s Templates everything is working fine!

If you are having playback problems at higher bitrates this could be your player/video card not being able to keep up. It is known to happen.
