so you're better off reading through the entire thread and formulating a question,
that indicates that you've actually attempted to read,
and gives some clue as to what your actual goal is.

also there's a more recent thread about this somewhere,
    use search.

  5. And if you didn't come off as a functional illiterate, didn't try and revive a 6 year old and by now pretty useless thread, and, as 45tripp says, did some research on what you want to know, you might actually get some help. Heck, you might even be able to figure out the answer yourself.

Threads that spend 365days+5hours+48minutes+46.5seconds without receiving new posts
should be automagically locked (IF phpbb allows it, bien entendu).

...and yet those who still dare to contribute in such thread after counting to the second how lmuch time has passed, should automatically get that "gold medal" underneath their nick (no php for that, but any mod's click will do )

At least I have a point:
the Off-Topic forum is NOT my preferred one.
I cannot say the same about certain "elder" members
    (DereX888 and stiltman, for example).

Old threads serve me well. They show me how my english skills improved or not.

At OG24: Better use CBR for DVD.
2pass VBR is better when you don't have the choice to use all the possible bitrate, DVD offers you.

For SVCD/CVD use 2 Pass VBR

  11. Crikey, a mother load of vcdhelp oldies just got email notifications. Interesting to see who will turn up. ...or not

    @ OG24

It depends on your situation. If you have the space, a high CBR is perhaps a more reliable way to maintain quality, no matter the format.

Jeez, blast from the past this is, back when i had youthful enthusiasm lol.

In these days of Media prices, didn't think this would be relevant anymore
