Does anyone have one of these cards?

    TV TUNER CARD "ViXS PureTV-U 480B0 (NTSC/ATSC)

They come in the newer HP Pavilion Desktops?

I am curious what your successes and failures with it have been?

    thanks

Success. I was able to get my TV TUNER CARD "ViXS PureTV-U 480B0 (NTSC/ATSC) to work in several ways.

    (1) Via Vista's 64-bit, Windows Media Center, the card is recongnized, and i can watch Directv (after cabling s-video, and, red/white RCA composite audio connections between the Directv Receiver and the TV Tuner Card).

    (2) Using CyberLink's DVD Suite Deluxe (with PowerDirector 6), I am able to 'capture' analog via the S-video, and red-white audio connecters.

I am then able to save the capture.

Good luck to any TV TUNER CARD "ViXS PureTV-U 480B0 (NTSC/ATSC)
    owners.

  4. I have this card in my 2008 HP Pavilion. See thread Comparison: three cheap capture devices and two VHS camcorders for comparison of this card with Pinnacle Dazzle DVC100 and with KWorld UB445-U2 Hybrid TV stick. The comparison thread will be updated.
