  1. I have some problems with CCExtractor because many subtitles are missed (more than 100 lines) after extracting to srt format. It works not good for movies which are recorded with black broadcast on screen especially. You will wondering why I recorded a movie with black screen because some TV broadcast have freezes, so I switched the function off and the subtitles works on screen well.
Subtitle Edit and ProjectX can't do that because after extracting it comes a message that it was not done succesfully. The file is empty (no subtitles extracted).

So I was thinking about ffmpeg, maybe it works well with black broadcast on screen with contains subtitles to extract subtitles. I tried to extract dvb subtitles or teletext subtitles from ts-file (MPEG-TS) and the ffmpeg stops instantly and the output file is empty.

Does anyone have idea which parameter would be properly?

TSDoctor, there is a fully functioning trial available might do it as it is designed for DVB subs - probably the successor to ProjectX as it handles mpeg4 as well as mpeg2

  3. Can you cut a short sample that includes both lines CCExtractor catches as well as lines that it misses?

  4. I'm not talking about screenshots but parts of the TS file cut via e.g. DGSplit or ffmpeg seeking.

  6. "Star_Trek_ Beyond.ts" doesn't play in any of my software? Not even video or audio.

P.S.: Use forum attachments instead of external hosters next time. Easier to access for others.

  7. Yes, right but the software ccextracter can extract the subtitles from this video-ts.

  8. I found the way to extract subtitles from damage videofile (movie.ts) via ProjectX which there are no video and audio, just subtitles.
Open the presettings and go to options tab to disable the hack 'enable HD subtitle' if there is no HD then go to subtitles tab and make sure which subtitles there are (dvb-subtitles, or teletext subtitles or both) so that you can select number for subtitles from teletext properly.
The last setting is for subtitle export formats, choose ssa format. If you want SUP file, you have to enable the hack for add. export as VobSub (idx+sub).
Then close the window and press prepare >> to choose demultiplex or go to 'Quick Start' button. -Done!
