I'm fairly new at ripping, however I already feel worn thin after a few days of wrestling with the audio/synch problems I am having with Pinoy2201's DVD to DivX Guide
http://forum.vcdhelp.com/userguides/78732.php
I have followed the guide down to the T... everytime I encode, the output file's audio and video are out of synch. Invariably, the audio is ahead of the video and worsens as the movie goes on...that is to say the gap between the video and audio increases.
I do not know what I could be doing wrong. The author seems to be confident that there are no problems with the guide but I cannot get over this one.
I have tried changing the output Frame Rate from 23.976 (same as input) to 25.000 and 29.976. That is way too fast. I have inched the frame rate up by 0.002 increments, but even if the video catches up with the audio at the beginning of the movie, it always falls behind as the movie goes on.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Perhaps I should try a different method. Any suggestions there?
Thanks a ton in advance.
