I've been using Premiere 6.5 for years on same computer and after installing Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Vegas 7, I can't import DV Avi files into Premiere. It gives the message "File is an unsupported type" error message. After uninstalling the Sony stuff, I still get the error message.

Tried reinstalling Premiere but no luck. What's weird is Premiere will capture DV files but can't work with them.

I deleted all the registery entries for vegas stuff and still no luck.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have Premiere 6.5 & Sony Vegas 6.0d & ULead Video Studio 9 & VirtualdubMod + Panasonic DV (VFW) codec all running in XP SP2 on a Core2Duo with no conflicts.

Premiere 6.5 was the last installed.
