  1. Trying to deinterlace a vob dvd with progressive scan type. It does have some interlace frames. However is it possible to pass telecide hints into qtgmc instead of TDeint(clip2=src, Full=False, Type=2, mode=0, tryWeave=false)

I have selected TDeint in qtgmc but i am not sure if i am doing it right. Both MatchEdi="TDeint" and MatchEdi2="TDeint" needed, or one or another?
TDeint has clip2=src but qtgmc has nothing so i am not sure if it is accepting the hints from telecide.

    Code:
    AssumeTFF()

    Telecide(guide=2, post=1, vthresh=30, back=1, bthresh=50, hints=true, show=false, debug=false)

    QTGMC(preset="Medium", InputType=3, SourceMatch=3, Lossless=2, MatchEnhance=0.50, MatchPreset="Medium", MatchEdi="TDeint", TR0=2, TR1=1, TR2=1, MatchPreset2="Medium", MatchEdi2="TDeint", Sharpness=0.5, SLMode=4, Rep0=4, Rep1=4, Rep2=4, RepChroma=true, NoiseProcess=0, NoiseRestore=0.0, GrainRestore=0.0, ediThreads=8)

  2. You should always provide a sample showing the problem.

If there are stray interlaced frames you can deinterlace just them using TDeint(Full=False) or VInverse().

If the video is progressive (mostly), then why use Telecide at all?

  3. Video
    ID : 224 (0xE0)
    Format : MPEG Video
    Format version : Version 2
    Format profile : Main@Main
Format settings : CustomMatrix / BVOP
    Format settings, BVOP : Yes
    Format settings, Matrix : Custom
    Format settings, GOP : M=3, N=15
    Duration : 41 min 55 s
    Bit rate mode : Variable
    Bit rate : 5 007 kb/s
    Maximum bit rate : 7 500 kb/s
    Width : 720 pixels
    Height : 576 pixels
    Display aspect ratio : 16:9
    Frame rate : 25.000 FPS
    Standard : PAL
    Color space : YUV
    Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
    Bit depth : 8 bits
    Scan type : Progressive
Scan order : Top Field First
    Compression mode : Lossy
    Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.483
Time code of first frame : 00:59:59:00
Time code source : Group of pictures header
    GOP, Open/Closed : Open
    GOP, Open/Closed of first f : Closed
    Stream size : 1.47 GiB (88%)

There are scenes that traditional deinterlace can't do, even QTGMC on its own failed. I have telecide progressive frames and those scenes looks crap until i used telecide follow by TDeint and those scenes were fixed. Basically i want to use qtgmc instead of tdeint.
