  2. You can remove the center channel -- that's where most (but not all) dialog appears. Just use an audio editor that supports the audio format (AC3?). For example Audacity with the ffmpeg plugin -- which is free.

    Even without the center channel the movie Im working with apparently has some dialogue in the other channels I'd like gone

    Then you have to manually silence that dialog in the editor. There's no such thing as a "remove all dialog" filter.
