Looking for software / plugin to remove reverb / echo

Hi everyone, did you know of a free software / plugin or with a free trial or not too expensive, to remove the reverb / echo from a room?

I recorded myself in my living room and there is unfortunately too much echo.

The short answer is that it is almost impossible to do well without generating some serious artifacts.

Easier to rerecord.
