    I have several files that are in SD MKV and I would like to convert them into HD(1080p) Mkv. What can I use to do this?? John

    You can't really put in video information that isn't there. There are ways that can do a reasonable job but they involve HEVC filtering, which is an extremely advanced subject which even many advanced encoders don't know how to use. And there's no software that automates this, it has to be done case by case. I wouldn't bother.

    There was some hype a little while ago about software that used AI to do this but, like many things that say they use AI, that seems to have largely fizzled out.
