Finally, a TV tuner card that features the LSI Encoder chip.

A complete home theater PC system will cost about as much as a modern DVD settop recorder with a hard drive, only with a PC, you can finally get all the features in one box:

    - Dual Layer disc recording
    - dual-tuners
    - HDTV capture (e.g. Fusion-3 tuner card)
    - unlimited storage
    - free EPG
    .. and so much more...

Sure, you may have to reboot once in a while, but it beats the ever-lovable "LOADING!" message, the overheating recorders, and the uncorrectable frame jitter. And for those tight squeezes where you have to fit a whole week of Oprah (minus adverts) on one DVD-5, there's software encoders like TMPEG that are another 20-30% more compression efficient than hardware.

..not to mention with a PC, you can rip DVD's and play games...

To paraphrase Eric Cartman of "South Park": Screw you guys, I'm going Home (..Theater PC)
