I get these errors at 50.3% of the only titleset to be produced on machine #1 and moved the data to machine #2 an it does exactly the same, so I don't think it is a memory error.

I have 41 mpg in single folder, named SV(00).mpg - SV(40).mpg. The total size of the files is 4.19 GB. They were created from vob2mpgpro, 3.2.2000, from vobs created by dvdshrink, from vobs from DVR from TV shows. They are 16:9, from HD broadcast, but I can only transfer from DVR to computer via DVD, so they get scaled up for HD monitor & TV when I play them. vob2mpg had no problem generating these file. These dvdshrink vob files play fine on VLC & PowerDVD. I am processing them only because your pair of programs does a very good job of splicing together many short clips into seamless single titleset. I have done this before - several times - mostly with the free vob2mpg. I have done this process at least once [4 titlesets w menu] w the PRO version.

I compile from 2nd option: no menu & do not burn. CPU usage is max 6%. It takes about a minute to reach the 50.3% point.

I have done this w only files (00) - (21) [621 MB total] and (00) - (10) [264 MB total], trying to get below the 50.3% point - hoping to be able to join 2-3-4 titlesets into a single title either via 2nd pass thru vob2mpg/SVCD2DVD or DVDShrink. With 21 files, it gets the same errors at 51%. With 11 files, it succeeds.

With (00)-(18) [604 MB], it fails at 52.2%.
With (00)-(17) [595 MB], it fails at 52.2%.
With (00)-(16) [591 MB], it fails at 52.2%.
With (00)-(14) [573 MB], it fails at 52.3%.
With (00)-(12) [560 MB], it fails at 52.4%.
With (00)-(11) [538 MB], it fails at 52.5%.

With (00)-(10) [264 MB], it works.
    With (11) [280MB], it works.

With (11)-(40) [3.93 GB], it fails at 52.8%.
With (11-30) [131 GB], it fails at 58.0%.
With (11-20) [356 MB], it fails at 85.8%.
With (11-15) [310 MB], it fails at 91.8%.
With (11-14) [309 MB], it fails at 92.2%.
With (11-12) [296 MB], it fails at 94.4%.

With (12) [23 KB], it works.

With (12-40) [3.66 GB], it fails at 50.0%.

I noticed in these tests, the CPUs got up to 25% [I have a multi-core CPU 'gadget' on the desktop], but it is more often ~6%.

    What is going on?

    1 - how do I get a log from SVCD 2 DVD?

2 - how do I attach it/upload it? I tried to attach an mpg to the original post, but it did not seem to work. no feedback, either.

If your goal is to end up with one, giant MPEG file from a bunch of stuff on a DVD....my first choice would be with DVDDecrypter, IFO Mode, File Splitting: NONE.

THis is not what I am doing. These clips come from varied sources. Some of them were ripped via dvddecrypter, which is beside the point.

    Firstly, sorry about the delay.

I have got the jist of what your issue is. From the log I can see that #10 has different audio properties to #11. (#11 has 3 audio stream for example). According to the DVD specs the number and type of audio and video streams in same title set must be the same. I suspect this is the issue here.

The solution is to start with the assets having the same audio streams (if coming from vob2mpg you can select a single audio stream rather than the "default" which gives you all the streams available) or split assets with different audio in to different title sets in svcd2dvd.

    Does that make sense?

    Regards,

    Chris
