  2. what in the world are you trying to do? DVD to VCD or XVCD or SVCD or what? your bitrates are for VCD yet your doing a VBR encode with CCE? That's all whacked. Tell me what your trying to do. see dvd2svcd.org for recommended bitrates for svcd or vcd. Also be sure to rip with internal routines.

    Video Encoding Mode: Multipass VBR
    Min. bitrate: 1150
    Max. bitrate: 1150
    Avg. Bitrate: 1150

  4. you could also try www.doom9.org and goto their forum. there is a forum titled DVD2SVCD basic topics and one titled DVD2SVCD advanced topics. http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=47
    http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=34

also, did you try to recover the project. sometimes when it fails for me whereever I can just goto misc and recover it and it will start back up right where it left off.

Thanks jledhead.I already went to this site and read the docs.I think I knew now what went wrong.I did not try to recover but deleted all files instead.I have started all over again and so far, looks everything is running fine(without any crashes or message errors). As of this time, the prog is still encoding. Is it normal to finish the whole thing for 14 hours?I set to 3 pass VBR.I thought CCE is much faster than TMPGENC.I think I will stick to VCD next time as it only takes approx. 8-9 hours to make a VCD.Thanks for your input.

    Regards,

  6. yeah it can take a while. 3 pass vbr means it created the vaf file, then 3 passed the movie, so 4 passes in all.

but check out the link below
    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13435
its a good way to do 1 pass and the quality comes out nice, with only about 3 hours to encode
