    I have a IMac G4 that is about a year old now and my sreen somtimes turns a reddish/purpleish tint and then turns back to normal colors on the screen after a while, sometimes it just flashes red/purple for a second and then its gone.

    Anyone else hear or have this problem?

    There has been some problems with G4 iMac screens. My suggestion, check Apple support page, if you you have computer with faulty screen. Certain units (based on serial nr) are eligble for free upgrades/replacement/etc.
