I have an old DVD I made with family photos. I made it with Sonic in 2006, but that no longer works on my computer, Windows 7.
I've been trying to duplicate the disk to share with family, but no luck: the DVD player won't read the copied disk.
Any favorite apps out there to help me along? I'm happy to pay for software, but I do want it to work.
    Any favorites out there?

If the DVD still plays ok, it should be relatively simple to make an ISO of it using ImgBurn. Then burn the newly made ISO to a new disc, using ImgBurn in Write mode. Use a moderate speed, say 8x on a desktop burner, or 4x in a laptop burner and use Verbatim AZO -R discs.

If you can't explore/read the disc at all try on another computer first.

If that also fails try dvd recovery software like isobuster, cdroller, etc.

You have a photo slide show disc
That is data on a dvd disc
    It is not DVD format
Imgburn should be able to copy it
You want to use the "create image" mode
    And the "from disc" option

    Then for a new disc
    use the "write" mode
    From "file" Aka ISO image

  6. @Baldrick, CD Recovery Toolbox and CDCheck are two good freeware that can recover data from partly or compeltely unreadable CD/DVD discs.
