I am attempting to play an image out of my computer (macbook pro), connected to two epson projectors. When I connect the projectors to each other, they play the same image. However, I want to play the projectors side by side, to create one large image of the single source.

I'm using video as a backdrop for a play and need to spread the image across the entire wall, need 2 projectors to do that. Any advice, software, etc would be appreciated!

It looks like a 'docking station' is required.

And (I think) the mode you want is called 'extended desktop.'

I did this with a Mac Mini and a Matrox DualHead2Go, which is a portable dual-head video card. There are several versions and you have to make sure you get the right video connections for your computer and projectors.

You will also need to learn about edge blending. If you simply butt the two images up against each other, you will have a very obvious seam. So you need to overlap them with reciprocal fades, which can be done with a number of software tools. My application was for a permanent installation, so I created a hard blend in the video itself by first testing projector gamma and then doing the overlap and falloffs in the video editing app.

Thanks, both of you. I ordered the dualheads2go. Hopefully it'll work!

I can't thank you enough. I set up my new DualHead2Go and it did exactly what I wanted it to do!
