I've been expressing the bitrates in the 'settings' on 2 pass VBR as
min 0
max 2500 (values are not correct, just an example)
avg 1500
But I noticed that in one of the guides they are expressed as
1720000
2564000
0
Am I doing anything wrong here??? I havn't changed the 'eenironment' setting from it's default. Just want to make sure I'm not making a collosal mistake entering bitrates.
My Pioneer is good up to 2500KB/s exactly how do I express this in TMPG as an example?

your not doing anything wrong. One is bits per second and the other is kbits per second. Under option\environmental settings in TMPGenc you can select which one you want to enter the bitrates in. As long as you realize the difference it doesnt matter which one you use.
