    Hello everyone,

Amateur here. I'm using Animotica to edit my videos and I want to fade in a quote in two parts:

    Part 1: The quote itself

Part 2: The name of the individual being quoted.

So for example, if I were to quote Abraham Lincoln, first the quote would fade in:

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."

Then, after a few seconds, his name would fade in underneath

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."
    - Abraham Lincoln

The problem is that I can't figure out how to fade in the name without the text fading in a second time. Right now I'm using an image of the quote, followed by an image of the quote with the name underneath. Obviously, that isn't going to work. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Ben

  2. You dissolve from the first card to the second.

Don't know Animotica -- but that's how it's been done since about 1896.
