  1. Hi everyone!

I've just find out this forum searching information about how download embedded and encrypted videos from a website. After having tried everything with no lucky (The Stream Detector add-on, IDM, XDM, different download extensions...), I come here, desperate, searching for your help.

I need to download a series of videos from an academy online platform before they are shut down. All links have this format:

    https://www.cursoprimariaasturias.com/gescon/alumnos/aulaVirtual/videoclases/rqvf.aspx...Ir9nbJAGIfY4mS

The link doesn't open anything. You need to be logged into your profile on the platform to see the video, but you won't be able to download it because the download button is hidden and src link doesn't have "mp4" extension.

I've tried to delete "nodownload" command and all I've got is "Download" button appears, but it only downloads a 128 byte HTML archive named "rqvf" with no content.

I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Thanks so much for your quick replay and for offer your help

To be honest, the credentials are from my brother. He is studying in this academy to prepare for a pretty hard competitive exam, so I'm afraid he ain't goin' to share his credentials to anybody easily (he refused at first to let me access to his profile) Would it be possible to handle otherwise? Guideance, screen-caps...?

PS: Furthermore, he is supposed to not be able to download the videos and there is an note in the beginning of each video warning to not try downloading the video. So the less his name is public, the best for him. Please, understand

What a nice guy. Helping out his brother.

    I had a look at a demo example video ... https://www.cursoprimariaasturias.com/ejemplos-clases

So I'm assuming that the example lesson is somewhat the same as the actual lessons.

I played the video using the chrome browser and press f12. I selected the Network tab and filtered using mp4.

    I captured this url ...... https://www.cursoprimariaasturias.com/videos/EjemplosVideoclases/Ejemplo%20de%20clase%...Da%20renal.mp4

I then pasted this url into a new browser page

From this page I was able to use the download function.

    Hope this helps

I really appreciate the effort and your kindess words

Indeed, the example lessons are similar to the lessons my brother wants to download from his profile. Although the second ones are encrypted someway and it's not possible to get them through the method you suggested, I'm afraid.

    Example lesson:

Random lesson which my brother wants to download ("empty src!"):

Even it wasn't necessary to do all the process you did through F12. Example lessons have enabled the download button ("Descargar"):

On the other hand, random lessons have disabled the download button:

Yeah... I'm aware it's pretty hard to handle this without direct access to the platform. I guess I hoped it were possible to you to know what to do only showing you network data and explaining the issues I dealt with

The profile has personal information, exams and so on. I'm afraid my brother isn't up for share this kind of data with third persons. I'm so sorry to make you waste your time. I'm deeply grateful to all you guys for your interest, though

Maybe he is willing to do it through Teamviewer or similar, but I understand this method could be annoying for you.

If I right click on the video and select Save video as, it only lets me to save an ASPX archive. And if I try to convert this archive, I get this message:

  10. Well mi amigo, your only option is to do screen recording.

Last time I checked, https://www.videohelp.com/software/Tubedigger has such a feature. There are also many free programs that have such a feature.

TubeDigger never had screen recording. "Rec Mode" records real stream and that stream must be played in embedded browser until the end.
