"stills" in menus

now that I made my first simple vcd menu i want to dig deeper and include some extra stuff on cd like cast list, synopsis and stills.
i.e. Menu:
1 Play
2 Index
3 Stills
4 Cast List
5 Synopsis

My Q: do I make mpeg files with a 5 secs silence wav for all these screens or is there a way to store these (menu 3-5) as stills in the "pictures" folder on the VCD and access them from there?

VCD2.0 and SVCD support high resolution (704x480/576) still images.

One easy way of using these in your VCD project is to use TSCV as it will encode them from bitmaps.
