    Hello,
    Making some small compilation of several video or audio clips.
    How can I put markers so when playing
    those compilations, I can see the markers on the player.
    Is it at all possible ?
    Answers will be appreciated.

    There are different kinds of markers possible, but I am betting you probably want chapter-type markers. Most container types support their inclusion.
    However, just because they might be in the file does not mean that a given player (hardware or software) will support it.

    Would need more details (filetypes used).

  4. It's possible with PC software players such as mpc-hc, you would need to add chapters to mp4/mkv type files.

    Ffmpeg can add chaptering to mp4 video files, but it doesn't create or edit them. For that you would need a chapter editor app. Long time ago, I would have used QuickTime for mov/mp4 chaptering. There should be a number of more modern alternatives now.
